Borodino 1812

December 7 @ 09:00 - December 8 @ 17:00

The NHSA is delighted to welcome back once again Professor Alexander Mikaberidze as our speaker for this event in which we study the battle of Borodino 1812, the great struggle at the height of Napoleon’s invasion of Russia.  Alex is Professor of History and the Ruth Herring Noel Endowed Chair at Louisiana State University in Shreveport. He has written extensively on the Napoleonic Wars, including a trilogy on the Russian Campaign of 1812. His “Borodino: Napoleon against Kutuzov” provides an in depth examination of the pivotal moment of the campaign while “Kutuzov: A Life in War and Peace” offers fresh insights on the Russian commanders. The talk will be held at 2 pm on Saturday 7 December 2024 at 24 Kingfisher Court, Newbury RG14 5SJ . Please contact Philip Marshall on 07946 041733 if you would like to attend.
