This is a reprise of the event of 15 and 16 June but on this occasion we are delighted to have Professor Charles Esdaile as our speaker. Professor of History at Liverpool University, Charles has been prolific in his publications on the Napoleonic Wars. His many works on the period include “Fighting Napoleon” (2004) and “Napoleon’s Wars” (2007) and, with reference to the 100 Days Campaign, “Napoleon, France and Waterloo” (2016). His “Walking Waterloo”  (2019) is one of the most remarkably detailed guides on the battlefield. He also has a strong interest in the simulation of historical battles and has recently published a new work “Wargaming Waterloo”.
