The NHSA is delighted and honoured to welcome Mark Lardas, as our speaker for this event in which we again study the great Revolutionary War naval battle of the Glorious First of June. Mark is a graduate in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering and has had a lifelong interest in maritime history. He has written extensively on naval conflicts, with many works on warfare in the age of sail such as “American Heavy Frigates 1794–1826”, “American Light and Medium Frigates 1794–1836”, “Constitution vs Guerriere” and “Ships of the American Revolutionary Navy”. He is also the author of the Osprey work on this specific battle. The talk will take place at 2 pm on Saturday 3 May 2025.
